“The farther backward you look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” –Winston Churchill
“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” –
“The unexamined life is not worth living.” The words of the renowned philosopher Socrates.
Today, take time to pause and look back at the experiences you need to learn from. Review the victories you achieved the past year, not to make you proud, but to inspire and motivate you to become a better person this year.
Review also the defeats you bumped into last year. Learn from them and make sure to overcome this year. Because if you don’t, you’ll keep on repeating the same mistake over and over again. It’s like bumping your head against the wall repeatedly knowing that there’s a wall ahead.
But sometimes, if once again you lose, get back up and conquer. It doesn’t matter how many times you fall but how many times you get back up.
One famous proverb says: “If you fall seven times, get up eight times.”
Make failures your friend by the way you REACT to it.
Life’s experiences are never of no value. God uses it all to shape us become the person he wanted us to be.
Galatians 3:4 “Have you experienced so much for nothing? Surely it was not in vain, was it?”
Thank the Lord, for all those experiences. We are who we are today because of those events that happened to us.
Don’t let them make you weaker but even better.
