“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” – Henry Ford
2 Timothy 3:14
14 But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught.
You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.
We grew up with a saying that “No man is an island.” And it’s true. Majority of the things we do now, we have learned from our parents, relatives, friends, teachers and mentors. And sometimes, when we get to the top, we forget those people who helped us get there. Sometimes, they don’t want you to repay them. But that doesn’t mean that we should forget them. Because we would never be the person we are today if it wasn’t for those people who helped us.
There are people that shaped our lives who need to be remembered and thanked. Never forget the people who played a big part in our years of learning. They sacrificed their time for us to learn. Just being there patiently and molding us to become the person we are today. If you have been blessed to be in the presence of a great mentor who is part of your village, keep that as an inspiration with you forever.
