Sunshine In My Heart
“No matter what the weather is,
always bring your own sunshine.”
Never think that to be disappointed is news. That’s reality.
You won’t always get what you want. You won’t have your way at all times.
You lose a job.
Someone walks away.
Best efforts didn’t work.
Tired and without rest.
Others seem to have it all.
Maturity is the ability to step back sometimes, and acknowledge that this is how it’s gonna be. And we just go on. We refuse to get stuck, no matter what.
But know what, we always overlook what we have. So today, do something different. Start the habit of counting the ones that make your life beautiful.
Someone to share a good laugh with.
Hard work that paid off.
That deep sleep you had.
For making others happy in some ways.
And the list goes on and on and on…
Everyday is a different weather. You can’t stop the rain. You can’t block the sun either. And yet, for those who have sunshine in their hearts, both are beautiful.
“The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance,
the wise grows it under his feet.”
— James Oppenheim
Today has a different mixture of colors. It’s up to you what you will do with it.
To throw it away because it’s not what you want. Or celebrate the hues by painting a masterpiece.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.” – Philippians 4:6
