WEEK 38 : THURSDAY (Five Qualities of God)

“Being faithful in the smallest things is the way to gain, maintain, and demonstrate the strength needed to accomplish something great.”
-Alex Harris

Hebrews 13:8New International Version (NIV)
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Today, many relationships fail whether it is friendship, marriage or simply acquaintances simply because of the lack of faithfulness. When a couple marries they have to make an agreement called prenuptial agreement. This means the couple has to reach an agreement of dividing their property should the divorce. Friends cannot trust their friends with information about them because they might gossip.

There are many temptations for us to take the short cuts in life. But God reminds us of the faithfulness for the things that was entrusted to us.

Psalm 1:1-2New International Version (NIV)
Psalm 1
1 Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.

When we get reminded of the parable of the talents. We realize that it doesn’t matter how much is given to us. What matters is our faithfulness to it

Matthew 25:23New International Version (NIV)
23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

In the things that we have today, we must realize it is not how much we have, but rather how much of ourselves are in it. How faithful are we in the things that has been entrusted to us everyday?
